Yesterday we had a worship night at the church, so I didn't eat dinner. I did, however, make a list of possible meals to make! Many of these are from a recipe list that Katelyn made for our friends that are on the slow carb diet. She's amazing! Here they are:
- Modified Tomato Soup Recipe
- Modified Meatballs recipe
- Modified the Buffalo Chili Recipe
- Modified Schmidt Medley – lentils instead of quinoa
- Soy Beans, Burgers with yogurt and cucumber salad
- http://www.slowcarbrevolution.com/showthread.php/15149-Slow-Carb-Recipe-Soy-Beans-Burgers-with-Yoghurt-and-Cucumber-Salad - needs some modification
- Zucchini with Chicken
- Chicken Curry
- that one meal that we ate when Sarah came over. Some sort of beef curry thing with asparagus.
- Chicken salad w/ avocado and nuts
- Baked Brown Cimini Mushroom Stuffed with Minced Pork
- http://www.slowcarbrevolution.com/showthread.php/14952-Baked-Brown-Crimini-Mushroom-Stuffed-with-Minced-Pork Looks yummy as is
- Italien Sasuage Stew
- http://www.slowcarbrevolution.com/showthread.php/15071-Slow-Carb-Recipe-Italian-Sausage-Stew Will be really good with some slight modifications
- Broccoli with Lentils and Chicken
- http://www.slowcarbrevolution.com/showthread.php/15166-Slow-Carb-Recipe-Broccoli-with-Lentils-and-Chicken - good with a few modifications.
Progress made!
just mention lentils and I'm hungry. add avocado, asparagus, mushrooms - and holy moly who told you all my favorite foods?!
ReplyDeleteps. have you ever tried Kale? it's my new superfood love. not sure if it's considered a slow carb or not... what exactly are your slow carb diet rules anyway?
I put kale in all my smoothies... the energy it gives me is SURREAL.
DeleteHere's a yummy kale salad recipe with quinoa and tangerine (is quinoa starchy? I know it's protien packed...) She recommends removing the ribs and massaging the kale with olive oil... and I think it's yummy. But to be fair, I have weird taste buds. http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2012/02/kale-salad-with-quinoa-tangerines-and.html
And, I haven't tried this yet, but I really want to - Kale Chips: http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2012/03/easy-crispy-kale-chips.html
(Yeah, I like that gluten-free foodie blog a lot.)
I'd take the recipe for the modified buffalo chili
ReplyDeleteChicken Curry!
ReplyDeleteoh, i'll definitely be trying some of these.
ReplyDeleteModified tomato soup? Tomato's are a fruit (seed baring portion of a plant) So is that allowed? I've very interested in this burger with yogurt. Do you mix them?
